The last few years I have seen this really cute Halloween trend where you “Boo” your neighbors. I decided to jump on board and leave a few treats for two sweet families/friends in our neighborhood.
I started with a Halloween candy bucket and added some crinkle paper in the bottom. Every time I go to Target I always hit the Dollar Spot for cute and kid friendly items. I like to keep a stash of items in my craft closet to toss in with birthday gifts or to use as a reward for good behavior. I pulled out a few of the Halloween theme coloring and craft books I had on hand and placed them in the basket. I included a Halloween straw cup for the kiddo in the family as well as a Halloween wine glass for mommy juice!
No Halloween bucket would be complete without snacks. I found a candy corn mix at H-E-B and included a few of my favorite chocolates and some Trick-or-Treat fruit snacks. To add some additional *spirit* I included a 6-pack of Saint Arnold Octoberfest.
This was a super easy and affordable way to let our neighbors know we care and spread a little Halloween cheer. And while a few years ago my neighbors may have wondered who Boo’ed them, they got the added bonus of watching me ding dong ditch them on their door bell cameras!
Happy Halloween – Until next time….
