October Porch Decor

Happy Fall y’all! While it is still super hot in Texas I am in a fall state of mind. Last week I grabbed my pumpkin cream cold brew and Collins and I set off on a hunt for items to spruce up the porch.

The week before I had grabbed some cheap mums from Walmart for $4.99 each. I’m the worst at remembering to water my plants so I usually go with something in a price point I won’t feel terrible about throwing away and replacing if it gets to that point.

1. Trick-or-Treat Sign

2. Metal Planter
Black Oiled Finish Metal Planter with Stand

I found the perfect black planters with a small stand at World Market for the mums. They have a nice oil finish to them that give the perfect shine in direct light. The great thing about these is they can transition from season to season. I also love the minimal, clean profile they have.

The Trick-or-Treat sign I found at Target and it is reversible. The back side says Give Thanks. I love items like this because I can get use out of them for 2 months and it’s easier to store one sign vs. two. I’ve seen several other signs like this at Hobby Lobby and other home stores. At $20 this was a steal I couldn’t pass up.

The orange pumpkin came from my favorite store – HomeGoods. It gives the perfect pop or color in this space and ties in the orange accent lines on the Trick-or-Treat sign.

One of my favorite finds of the day is this beautiful berry and twig wreath I found at HomeGoods. This wreath can be styled to match your decor or left plain depending on the look you are going for.

2. Buffalo Plaid Rug

One of the biggest trends I’m seeing right now is the layering of patio rugs. The black and white buffalo check rug I ordered on Amazon and I paired it with this adorable spider web rug from World Market.

I also added several small Halloween signs from Hobby Lobby that Charleigh enjoyed putting in the mulch and arranging herself. She’s super excited about Halloween and dressing up. This is our first Halloween in our new home and we can’t wait to cruise around in the golf cart and enjoy all of the festivities with our neighbors. We even have a fun little family costume in the works! Until next time….
